of the country. Five already dead from traffic accidents.

5. The Daily Dish's Andrew Sullivan

(previously of The National Review, now with The Atlantic Online), staunch old-style, brilliant Conservative thinker has finally broken with the GOP!

6. Researchers found Caffeine does not counter the effects of alcohol, it merely masks the inebriation, leading drinkers to think they've sobered up when they are still under the influence.

Subjects used for scientific testing of the effects of alcohol and coffee on humans were...mice!

7. CBS has cancelled the soap "As the World Turns," after 54 years on the air. Earlier this year they cancelled the 72 year-running Guiding Light.

8. Tiger Woods ads have been absent from TV since November 29. Gatorade has confirmed it is discontinuing its drink, Gatorade Tiger Focus, but claims that the decision was already in place before Tiger's (ahem) "accident".

9. In WA State, a procession of over 20,000 Officers and Rescue Officials in Police and Fire Trucks stretched for 10 miles, in tribute to the 4 State Police Officers who were shot and killed in a coffee shop.

The alleged police shooter was later shot and killed by Seattle Police Officers after a two-day man hunt…

um, I guess the "innocent 'til proven guilty" rule does not apply when it comes to a cop-killer.

10. Obama laid out a new plan to combat unemployment,

which would use some of the $800 Billion surplus TARP dollars.

Minority Leader, OH Rep. John Boehner,

said he found the idea of spending TARP funds on job creation, "repulsive". Yup, John, creating jobs for the unemployed is truly a sick and repulsive concept.

11. AOL & Time Warner got a

divorce! AOL will begin trading on its own on December 10th.

12. MONGO WAVES in Hawaii! Waves of the Century! The Eddie Aikau contest, which is only held when the waves get GIGANTIC, was held amid 40 foot waves!

The last "Eddie" was held 5 years ago. This year's winner, Greg Long, an underdog, invited for the first time to the Waimea contest, defeated favorite, Kelly Slater, who was in the lead until the very end.

Long even scored a perfect "100" on one of his rides.

13. Experts agree - the only thing that can save Tiger now is a big Mea Culpa media blitz followed by a stint in Rehab (aka The Celebrity Popularity Cure-All).

Things I Learned since I woke up this morning

1. Tiger Woods just may be a Sex Addict! (Who knew?)

2. Mr Squiggles is contaminated! GoodGuide.com claims Zhu Zhu Pets', Mr. Squiggles the Hamster has Tin, Antimony & traces of Bromine. Antimony is the most noxious, used as a coloring agent, and can cause vomiting and diarrhea laced with blood, and even death, upon occasion.

3. Ben Nelson is a DEMOCRAT?? (Keep your God-damn laws off our bodies, you Republican in Democrat's clothing, you)

4. Australia's coasts are melting into the ocean.

5. There have been 91 breaches of security on the President since 1980. Most were fence jumpers, that were immediately apprehended. Some happened in foreign countries.

Not very many got as close to the President as the Salahis did at the White House, this past week.

6. Sarah Palin isn't really RIDING ON HER OWN BUS, on her book tour.

She flies from place to place.

7. New Lawsuit filed against Cell Phone Provider for Fatal Accident which occurred when their customer was speaking while driving.

8. The Pope listens to Muse and Tupac.

9. The EPA just Ruled that Greenhouse Gases and Climate Change are "OFFICIALLY" dangerous, and declares that Global Warming is a "danger to public health".

10. An EMERGENCY ANTI-WAR RALLY is being organized and staged this SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, at the White House. Many anti-war politicians and activists will speak, including Dennis Kucinich.

8. 9 million Americans don't have Bank Accounts (hmm…does that include the homeless?)…just wonderin'…

Things I Wonder About: Roadkill...I have questions

ROADKILL - Have you ever seen a Roadkill Crew at work?

Who cleans that stuff up, when do they do it, and do they use a truck??

I've seen tons of roadkill, in over 40 years of living in the country and driving at night...deer, skunks, and raccoons, are the most common. But in all these years, I've never, ever seen any clean up crews.

Roadkill is never there the next time I drive by, so I know somebody must be doing it. Maybe the Roadkill Brigades are invisible?

Anybody, have a clue? Who cleans this stuff up, when do they do it, and do they use a truck??

And, sorry to be so graphic, but, if it's a gigantic buck, how do they get the carcass into the vehicle?…With a crane?

And, what if it's a skunk? Ew...
